Honda Power Commander Remaps

Honda CBR1000RR 2010

Nice bike nice power curve with 163 hp, but wait there's more... Power Commander V and custom map equals nearly170 horse power. Sweeeeeeet!!

Honda CBR1000RR Remapped

CBR1000RR with Two Brothers slipon muffler and KN air filter. We started with a base map that came with the PCV. After a full remap, even in Melbourne's mid-summer heat, it came up much better with 158 hp "feel the difference"

Honda CBR1000XX

Honda Blackbird with single slipon muffler and KN air filter. Not much chop you'd have to say.

That is until it's been on our dyno to have a custom map made for it with PCV. Now look at it, almost 10 more hp and that flat spot at the bottom...... it's all gone. "feel the difference"

Honda CBR954

This bike already has Staintune slip-on pipes and PCIII. We fitted a K&N air filter and mapped in a custom map. Not a huge improvement, however it's better right through the rev range and just shows that it's worth spending a few more dollars to make a custom map. The owner reported much better throttle response and mid range power.

Honda CBR600 F4

As an every day commuter you want your bike to run nicely, ie smooth power, good throttle response, strong acceleration....

Power commander fitted and remapped, that's just what we ended up with.

Honda VTR1000 SP2

Install one PCIII add a K&N air filter, create a custom map and this little baby has almost 130hp
Better throttle response, better mid-range and improve fuel economy. Sweeeet!

Here's what happens when you do all the right things except for disconnecting the oxygen sensor. The ECU keeps adjusting the air fuel mixtures to maintain the preset figures it's programmed with.

You must disconnect the oxygen sensor when fitting a Power Commander unless the instructions tell you otherwise. If you have a look at the fuel mixtures you'll see what I mean.

The usual amount of time on the dyno was still required to make a new map for the Leo Vince race exhausts and KN filter, but worth every minute in terms of the gains to be had.

Hornet Remapped for Economy

Here's how to have your cake and eat it to. The nice thing about fuel injection is you can make two maps with a Power Commander - one for good economy on the road and another for those fun days at Phillip Island. All you do is keep them on file in your computer and load them onto the Power Commander when you need via a USB cable in less than a minute.
